Christmas shopping in 2010 may turn out to be a little more exciting and challenging than any of us really wants.  As early as late October of 2010. news services are reporting that major U.S. toy sellers have understocked for the holiday season, but that unfortunately it may be too late for them to correct their mistake.

If you’re interested in learning more about this situation and the specific best-selling toys that may be affected, check out this Reuters news story highlighting the possible shortages on Zhu Zhu Pets (which is perhaps the shortage being felt the earliest and the most acutely), as well as the Disney Netpal computer.  Both these products can be found featured for sale on this 10 Best Christmas Gifts site, for as long as supplies last.

Another take on the same news story can be read here from the N.Y. Post.  This story features the under-stocking of the Mattel Mindflex game, as well as again mentioning Zhu Zhu Pets and Disney Netpals.   The Mindflex mind control game is also featured on this site.

To find complete listed predictions of which will be the most popular and in-demand toys of the 2010 Christmas season. you can check out this story on the Amazon Hot Holiday Toys list.  You can find Amazon’s list here, and do extensive shopping for just the age, gender, and interest of the child you’re Christmas shopping for.  Many of the toys found on Amazon’s list are also featured on this site.
